I’m a creative developer. I can take a design and refine it into a website that works perfectly, and looks great.
For over 15 years I have specialised in taking flat designs and converting them into WordPress websites. I’ve implemented many e-commerce and booking solutions such as WooCommerce, Event Espresso and bespoke solutions.
I currently have a few clients, some of whom I have been maintaining their sites for 10 – 12 years.
I am very experienced in the Adobe Creative Suite apps (Photoshop, XD, Illustrator, InDesign).
I have over 25 years experience hand-coding websites. I have very strong front end skills, and I always build fast, google friendly code.
As well as being attentive to detail, I’m incredibly efficient. I’ll have tasks completed faster than you expect, and clear any backlog you might have.
Unfortunately the punchline is inappropriate, but essentially the guy found a magic lamp and asked a genie for a bird with long legs and anyway, my point is that AI is like that genie, you have to be very specific what you ask for; if you’re not careful you end up with something quite different. Like the genie, it sometimes feels like Claude is deliberately making a fool out of you.
Let’s be honest, when it comes to writing code, AI is feeling pretty confident.
When you can’t beat it, you might as well pay the subscription and get the most out of it. I wouldn’t claim to be an early adopter, but once I’m in, I’m in.
I use AI on a daily basis. When I’m struggling with a glitch, or building something complicated, Claude has my back. Using GitHub and Visual Studio Code, the whole thing works as a seamless tool, allowing me to build with greater speed than ever before. I can use my experience and expertise to hone the prompts and manage the project overall.
His comic timing is not great, the banter falls a bit flat, but otherwise he’s a great guy to work with.
