Macromedia Flash is a fantastic programme, which I really enjoy using. I love being able to annimate things and this programme makes it simple and fun.
However, I have two reasons that make me hesitate in using it:
Many offices networks don't allow people to download plug-ins, which may stop people from viewing your website (you can put in code to detect if someone will be able to view it and provide an alternative version for those who can't).
It is harder to update content, or provide data-base driven content
